The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuum mops vacuums. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are common, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors better than the vibrating pads.

The only issue is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than high-powered settings, produce low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with a wall or furniture piece, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical garbage into the hidden bin, as well as washes and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's clutter that needs to be cleared out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to even remove wet spills however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big--it's over two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your house instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. But while these functions are nice to have but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The control panel is the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. Its mops also perform well in removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
